In the very old days in the 90ties HTML and an editor was sufficent. SELFHTML was you friend. Upload it via ftp and everything was fine.

Frames removed the need to load the navigation part all the time. There was no duplication.

Then I experimented with own written static stite generators in Delphi. PHP became cool and I switched to it for several years.

The maintenance of PHP was a nightmare. A CMS would have even be worse.

So going back to static site generators makes sense and it's actually a sweetspot between complexity and the requirements of the use case.

Generating the page via Zola written in Rust is easy.
